Rains Hall East Porch

George Washington Rains Hall, built in 1826, is a contributing resource to the Historic Augusta Arsenal which is listed in the National Register. The scope of this Historic Restoration included reframing Level-2 porch beams, ceiling joists, & ledgers, installing a new tongue & groove ceiling, restoring Level-2 wood columns & pilasters, restoring Level-1 stone column, replacing damaged scuppers, roof drain lines & collector heads, abating the lead-based paint, repointing the masonry facade, repairing damages in the roof, repainting wood windows & trim, waterproofing the foundation, and rebuilding the chimney footing.
